As a surgeon at the Whyalla Hospital for three decades, I became increasingly frustrated with bulky and disorganised patient files.

Especially at night, when a patient with 10 or 20 separate admissions to hospital, it was a struggle to ade through these records, which I came to call "fat file patient records".

The paper to go here is still in notes form, but I hope to get it together in the near future.
